About this trip
The 'W' trek is the name given to the W-shaped beaten track that interlinks the 3 Granite Paine Towers, the French Valley, and the Grey Glacier. The trek is approximately 70 kilometers (43 miles) in total distance and is one of the most scenic treks in the world.
Even though during Winter some of the Refugios are closed. We have created the best program to enjoy your winter adventure! You will take the Grey Glacier Navigation, stay at Refugio Paine Grande for 2 nights, and Garden Domes Cabins for 3 nights. You’ll have a private guide for the entire trek and a private transfer to enter and exit the park.
Our reservations team will be assisting you in understanding your program and will guide you in your plans. We will then be advising you in your logistical and physical preparations. And when you finally arrive here, in Puerto Natales, our Garden Domes hotel team will host you and provide trek briefings. The next day, our Chiletour team of guides and drivers will be assisting you on your first day as you get to know Torres del Paine for the first time.

Our group had an amazing W Trek experience, thanks to Chilietour’s well-organized logistics—smooth transfers, great refugio stays, and solid trek support throughout.
However, we were disappointed to learn just a day before the trek that our Refugio bookings for the last two nights had fallen through. We had to arrange on-site camping, arrange for sleeping bags and pillows, which fortunately worked out. While Chilietour upgraded our accommodations at no charge, the lack of advance notice and reimbursement was frustrating.
We still thoroughly enjoyed the trip and would recommend Chilietour, with the hope that future travelers receive clear communication on accommodations and logistics.

We are very happy with the service and arrangements made by ChilePatagonia. The welcome meals and celebration pizza were delicious in El Brisket.
The package meals and accommodations were good and comfortable in Refugios. 1st day guides to Torres were very patient, caring and helpful to guide us as we were the slowest in the group.
We felt overall the hike was well arranged.
However, on Day 3 hike from Central to Frances Refugio is better to start earlier, around 8.30am for slow hikers as there were of plenty of rocks along the way.

HAd a wonderful time. Everything was very well organised and communicated in advance. The accommodations were great, and the localisation was excellent outside and within the TDP park premises. Very friendly and helpful hosts; I highly recommend booking with ChileTour.

Ricci and his Chile Tour Patagonia Team organised a great trek for us. Transfers, transport, food and accommodation were all sorted so we could focus on the trek and the wild Patagonia experience. We met many people along the way and made some lovely new friends. The classic W Trek was spectacular, incredibly beautiful. We have wonderful memories and photos. Mucho gracias Ricci and Team.

I had a fantastic time. The people were friendly and welcoming.
While the accommodations and food weren't luxurious, they were more than adequate for a comfortable stay. I found both the domes and small houses to be quite nice. The lodging in the park is more basic, but in my opinion, perfectly suited to the style of a trekking holiday.
The scenery we saw on our hikes was absolutely stunning. I would love to return in the future.

We traveled in January 2024 with ChileTour Patagonia on the W Trek Classic, we highly recommend them! From Eason's introductory email and checklist, to Gonzalo's attention to detail in making our trek arrangements easy, and Ricci's hospitality with our welcome and farewell dinners, everything was handled so you can concentrate on the trek. All the lodges were good, we especially loved our cabin after the first day of hiking, as our party had it all to ourselves! For what you pay, ChileTour Patagonia was a great value, and we would recommend any travelers to the Torres del Paine National Park make ChileTour Patagonia your first stop!

We had such a wonderful time hiking the W, but that will happen regardless of how you book this trek. What Ricci and his crew do is; bend over backwards to make one feel welcome and at home. We were greeted with smiles off our bus from El Calafate, taken to awe inspiring views and a cup of tea at the garden domes and then gathered together to make a new little trekking family through a delicious meal at their restaurant Le Brisket. Coming off the trail was just as relaxing and refreshing, but most importantly filled with pizza! I would 100% work with this crew again and recommend them to all my friends and family. Not always prompt, but if you contact them through Whatsapp they will get back to you! There are a lot of moving pieces that the ChileTour crew is always juggling because they fits their service to the groups coming in; and all the problems that can arise from different people coming from different directions. However, I always trusted and they always provided everything we needed. Just reach out to them!
